Ahead of the forthcoming senatorial primary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra North, supporters of Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili have intensified efforts to position him as the leading aspirant for the party’s ticket.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Okosisi Media Team, Odili was portrayed as a formidable contender in the race for the Anambra North Senatorial seat, with the group highlighting his financial capacity, grassroots appeal, and political consistency.
The media team said Odili has, over time, demonstrated “strength of character and resilience” in pursuing his political ambitions, while also maintaining loyalty to APGA in the Anambra North Senatorial Zone.
According to the statement, the aspirant has remained steadfast with the party even during periods when other stakeholders defected to rival platforms, describing him as “a true party man” whose commitment to APGA is “unequalled.”
The group further argued that Odili possesses the experience required for legislative duties in the Senate, noting that he is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully at the National Assembly if elected.
“With the APGA primary election scheduled for the 23rd of this month, Chief Primus Odili stands out as the right man to clinch the ticket,” the statement read.
It also emphasized his perceived strengths in leadership, teamwork, and understanding of the developmental needs of the zone, asserting that he has the capacity to translate his vision into tangible outcomes.
Describing him as a “unifier and mobilizer,” the media team maintained that Odili’s candidacy represents continuity and growth for APGA in Anambra North.
The statement concluded with a call on party faithful to support his aspiration, expressing confidence that his emergence would usher in “unrivalled growth” in the senatorial district.
The APGA Senatorial primary is expected to draw multiple aspirants, including Dr Alex Obiogbolu, Senator Stella Oduah setting the stage for a keenly contested race ahead of the general elections.
