    Edo Actors Guild of Nigeria, PMAN back Edo Carnival 2026

    ‎The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Edo State chapter, and the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) have thrown their support behind the forthcoming Edo Carnival 2026 as Peak Rendezvous Entertainment Global Limited officially unveiled the theme for the cultural festival.

    ‎Contrary to rumours that artistes and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry were not being carried along in the planning of the carnival, the Edo State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), led by its Chairman, Opute, and the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), led by Esther Edopkayi Ibagua, threw their full weight behind the initiative and pledged unwavering support for the success of Edo Carnival 2026.

    ‎The groups commended the organisers for their inclusiveness and commitment to promoting the state’s rich cultural heritage.

    ‎The unveiling ceremony, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Protea Hotel in Benin City, attracted government officials, celebrities, cultural stakeholders and guests from across the state.

    ‎The theme for the highly anticipated carnival, ‘The spirit of Edo,’ was adopted, following extensive consultations by the organisers and key stakeholders.

    According to the organisers, the theme reflects the rich cultural heritage, unity and artistic excellence of the Edo people, while promoting tourism and showcasing the state’s cultural identity to the world.

    ‎Among the dignitaries present were: Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, representatives of Sazy Oil and Gas; Commissioner for Finance, Hon Emmanuel Okoebor; Commissioner for Information, Prince Kassim Afegbua; Director-General of Tourism, Lady Vivian Elabor; Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika; Director of the Department of State Services, Isaac Ikechukwu Chikere, and Nollywood actress and producer, Yvonne Jegede.

    ‎Organisers expressed confidence that Edo Carnival 2026, under the management of Peak Rendezvous Entertainment Global Limited, will deliver a memorable celebration of Edo’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
