The Managing Director of Blueprint Newspaper, Alhaji Salisu Umar, has commended the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, for his outstanding performance in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and security.
He made the commendation when the Governor’s media aides paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Abuja.
Umar said the management of Blueprint had been closely monitoring the governor’s achievements, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, the prompt payment of students’ scholarships, retirees’ gratuities, and death benefits to civil servants.
“Because of these achievements, the management decided to nominate him for an award last year. He was represented at the event by the Deputy Governor, Sen. Umar Abubakar,” he said.
The Managing Director noted that Blueprint was ready to partner with the Kebbi State Government to showcase the administration’s achievements more widely.
“We will play our part by ensuring that the state receives broader publicity across our platforms,” he added.
He also commended the governor’s media aides for embarking on the media tour, describing the initiative as a positive and proactive step.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, expressed appreciation to Blueprint Newspaper for its consistent support in publicising the activities and achievements of the Kebbi State Government.
He said the purpose of the visit was to thank the management of the newspaper for its support and to seek stronger collaboration in building a more effective communication framework between the state government and the media.
The commissioner highlighted several landmark projects executed under the leadership of Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, including the construction of mega schools, improvements in the healthcare sector, rehabilitation of schools, and the distribution of free fertilisers to farmers.
He added that the administration’s commitment to the prompt payment of scholarships and workers’ entitlements had significantly boosted the morale of students and civil servants across the state.
Ahmed BK reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining the pace of development and ensuring that Kebbi State’s achievements are effectively communicated to the public.
