Rt. Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji has declared that he will support whichever aspirant emerges as the preferred choice of voters in the race for the House of Representatives seat of the Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Magaji said his position followed extensive consultations with key stakeholders across the constituency. He noted that the decision was guided by the need to promote unity, strengthen party cohesion, and prioritise the collective interest of the people over personal ambition.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the constituency, stressing that his support would go to any candidate who secures the mandate and confidence of the electorate.

“I remain fully committed to the development and progress of Zango Kataf/Jaba. My support is with any candidate who emerges as the people’s choice,” he said.

Magaji also dismissed reports alleging that Hon. Sylvester Anthony Brando had withdrawn from the contest, describing the claims as false, misleading, and capable of creating unnecessary confusion among supporters.

He clarified that Sylvester Anthony Brando remains firmly in the race for the House of Representatives seat, adding that he continues to be an active and strong contender.

According to him, the circulation of such rumours was unfortunate and should be disregarded by the public and political stakeholders. He urged supporters to remain focused on the democratic process rather than be distracted by misinformation.

Magaji further expressed confidence that the electorate in Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency would ultimately make a decision that reflects their collective aspirations.

He wished all aspirants success in the political process and called for peace, restraint, and maturity among supporters and party members. He emphasized that the ongoing political season should be guided by mutual respect and a shared commitment to the development of the constituency.

The statement comes amid growing political activity in the constituency ahead of the next legislative cycle, with stakeholders increasingly calling for unity and peaceful engagement among contenders.
