The Primate of All Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Dr Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, has approved the appointment of The Ven. Dr Ishaya Anthony as the Registrar of Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary, Igbein, Abeokuta, with effect from Friday, May 1, 2026.

Ven. Dr Anthony, a priest of the Diocese of Kwoi and Canon Theologian of the Diocese, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He brings to the office a strong background in theological formation, academic research, church administration, and ecumenical engagement.

The Church also notes his wider contribution to Christian scholarship and public theological witness, including his service as the Inaugural Commonwealth Theologian at Westminster Abbey, London.

The Church of Nigeria believes that Ven. Dr Anthony’s scholarship, priestly discipline, administrative competence, and commitment to the orthodox faith of the Church will strengthen the work of Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary in its mandate of forming sound leaders for the Church and society.

The Church congratulates him on this appointment and prays that God will grant him wisdom, humility, and grace to faithfully discharge this new responsibility.
