Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo and serving as the Lagos chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has been successfully re-elected for a second term in office.

The unopposed re-election took place on Thursday during the 10th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference held at the state union secretariat in Agege, Lagos State. In expressing his gratitude, MC Oluomo acknowledged the support of the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, particularly during times of crisis.

MC Oluomo pledged to sustain the reform policies that have positively impacted the union’s activities in the state, emphasizing his commitment to further enhance its operations.

The acting national president of the union, Alhaji Ore, commended Akinsanya’s re-election and that of other executive members. He urged the newly elected officials to exhibit exemplary leadership, capacity, and sacrifice. Additionally, Alhaji Ore stressed the importance of running an administration characterized by openness, devoid of victimization, and committed to fairness, equity, and justice. This, he emphasized, would foster unity and harmony among members of the union at various levels.
