The outgoing President of Abuja Fish/Frozen Food Association (AFFOSA), Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim, has offered words of wisdom to the newly elected officers, emphasizing the importance of patience, unity, and cooperation among members. He advised them to embark on a membership drive, visiting all markets in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to foster relationships with traders and stakeholders. Ibrahim also encouraged the new leadership to support the FCT Minister in his efforts to promote the welfare of traders and to work towards securing a larger market and housing estate for members.

The AFFOSA has successfully conducted its election, ushering in a new leadership team. Alhaji Muhammad Salihu Abdulahi as the new President, marking a significant milestone for the Association.

In a statement, Alhaji Abdulahi, the incoming Chairman, outlined his vision for the Association, prioritizing unity among members, a massive membership drive, and settling disputes. He expressed his commitment to leading the Association to new heights, leveraging his experience as a former leader of Igala Neighbourhood, Assistant Secretary, and Vice Chairman of AFFOSA.

Hon. Usman Suleiman, the newly elected Secretary, echoed Dr. Abdulahi’s sentiments, pledging to propagate the Association to the next level. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with the FCT Minister to secure a larger market, ensuring that each member has access to a shop without relying on non-traders.

The successful election and transition of leadership mark a new chapter for AFFOSA, with a renewed focus on unity, growth, and cooperation. As the Association moves forward under Alhaji Abdulahi’s leadership, its members can expect a renewed commitment to promoting their interests and advancing the frozen food trade in Abuja.
