‎Judy Austin’s former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, has explained the reason behind his breaking down in tears during a recent podcast interview about their failed marriage, saying that he was crying for his children.

‎Obasi, who appeared on a recent episode of the HonestBunch podcast, where he spoke about the breakdown of their relationship, also made claims involving actor Yul Edochie, saying that actress Judy Austin showed interest in him while they were still married.

‎The emotional moment drew attention after Obasi was seen wiping his eyes with a handkerchief on air. The clip quickly circulated online and sparked reactions from viewers.

‎In a video shared this week, Obasi apologised for being emotional during the interview, and explained that the conversation triggered painful memories.

‎“I want to use this opportunity to apologise for crying on that podcast; it was not my fault. I was emotional; I didn’t travel from Onitsha to Lagos to cry. Forgive me and bear with me; something triggered me,” he said.

‎According to him, he became emotional because he wanted a closer relationship with his children.

‎“I also want the world to know I am not crying over a woman; I am only crying over my children,” he added.
