The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Command, Olusola Odumosu PhD, has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Security Management by the prestigious Prowess University, Delaware -USA.
The degree was conferred on him on Friday evening, during the human capacity building, induction and dinner award ceremony held at the Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, by the Representative of Prowess University Africa, Professor Eze C. Nwauba, FCIAP and the Chartered Institute of Information Strategy Management Council Members.
In a statement by the FCT CDPRO of the Command, Monica Ojobi, his nomination was made and endorsed unanimously by the advisory Board Members of Chartered Institute of Information Strategy Management, IAMPS and the award selections committee.
Commandant Odumosu, was singled out as a proponent strategic manager and a lifetime Achiever for Transparency and Accountability, Justice and Equity, humanitarianism and Transformational Leadership, a firm believer of selfless service to humanity and a beacon of hope to the underprivileged in the society.
Prowess University, Delaware – USA, is an educational institution and the largest professional body of information and strategic management in Africa, which offers well tutored and self paced e – learning degree top – ups for young professionals and experts who crave to acquire knowledge in their field.

In the same vein, Odumosu, was also awarded fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, an institute committed to capacity building of members through seminars, local and international conferences and consulting, recognizing people with sustained lifetime achievements.
Responding, the FCT Commandant, expressed profound gratitude for the honour, saying that he was deeply humbled and grateful for the award coming from a globally recognized institution like Prowess University, USA.
“For me, the award is not just a personal honour but a testament to the collective efforts of my team, mentor and the people I have worked with, I pledge my determination to continue my work by contributing to the betterment of the FCT and the society at large”.
The FCT Boss, who lauded the University for the Prestigious Acknowledgement, disclosed that the honour will motivate him to continue to make positive impact where ever he finds himself.
