    Commander 6 Division Garrison Assures Department of State Services of Maximum Support

    Brigadier General Edet Effiong has emphasized the importance of collaboration in joint and combined operations

    According to the statement issued by Major Danjuma Jonah Danjuma Acting Deputy Director 6 Division Army Public Relations Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday.

    The Commander 6 Division Garrison, Nigerian Army/Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force, South South, Operation DELTA STATE, Brigadier General Edet Effiong, has expressed his commitment to providing maximum support and cooperation to the Department of State Services (DSS) during joint and combined operations. The assurance was given during a courtesy call by the State Director of Security (SDS), Madam Clara Olika, at the Bori Camp office.

    Brigadier Effiong emphasized the importance of functional collaboration between the DSS and the Nigerian Army to address operational exigencies and reinforce the needed synergy among security agencies in the state. He assured the DSS that they can rely on the 6 Division Garrison for assistance in any challenges faced.

    Madam Clara Olika, in her visit, aimed to familiarize herself with sister services in the state and maintain the existing cordial relationship between the DSS and the Nigerian Army. She appealed to the 6 Division Garrison to cooperate with the DSS whenever called upon, highlighting the necessity for collaboration among security agencies in the contemporary operating environment.

    The joint efforts between the DSS and the Nigerian Army are crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the state and its citizens. The Commander 6 Division Garrison’s commitment to providing maximum support further strengthens these efforts and fosters a sustainable partnership between the two agencies.
