The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has charged the newly deployed cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, on discipline, professionalism, and open to learning during their one-month attachment in the State.
“I urged you to embrace the opportunity to learn practical aspects of Policing beyond the classroom. You must not overlook the importance of professionalism, discipline, and respect for human rights as you undergo practical training.
He further stated that attachment is a crucial phase in the Cadet scheme. He advised them to use this opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life Policing situations. He admonished them to learn from both their senior and junior colleagues, engage with the public responsibly, and uphold the values of integrity, service, and justice.
The cadets have been deployed across various Divisions and formation in the State, where they will gain hands-on experience in criminal investigation, Traffic control and management, administration, as well as counterduty.
“I assured you of the command’s support. You are advised to take full advantage of the mentorship provided by experienced officers. I have directed the Divisional Police Officers to ensure proper supervision and guidance throughout the attachment period.”.
“The Kogi State Police Command remains committed to nurturing the next generation of officers who will uphold the core values of the Force and contribute to the safety and security of the nation.” The CP said.
