President added that his administration never promised miracles

‎”When we came into office, we did not promise you miracles that would appear from thin air. We promised you structural, calculated, and deliberate progress. We promised a Renewed Hope Agenda that would touch the lives of everyday citizens—not just in economic statistics, but in the reality of their daily struggles. Today, we are here to witness that hope made tangible in concrete and asphalt.

‎”This 7-kilometer access road is not just an engineered strip of tar. It is an economic artery. By introducing an alternative route that beautifully bypasses the airport’s second runway, from Bill Clinton Drive to the Tungan Madaki settlement and further down to Zuba, we are achieving three critical objectives: We are securing the perimeter of our critical aviation assets by ensuring local traffic does not interfere with high-security airport zones”.

‎Tinubu said the road would not only ease the traffic gridlock along Bill Clinton Drive, providing seamless convenience for airport users and travelers and unlock the economic potential of Tunga Madaki and the surrounding communities.

‎”Look at the four-span bridge built across this route. It is a testament to engineering resilience, designed to defy the seasons and guarantee that whether in the height of the dry season or the peak of the rains, our farmers can move their produce, our children can go to school, and businesses can thrive without disruption. That is what the Renewed Hope Agenda means: reducing hardship by building infrastructure that works”, he said .

‎The President who commended the FCT Minister said, “Let me specially commend the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barr Nyesom Wike and his team. Wike, you are “Mr. Project”, and you have not disappointed. In February 2025, I approved this project. You mobilized immediately. Today, barely 16 months later, this beautiful stretch of road is completed and ready for use. No excuses. No stories. Just delivery. That is the standard Nigerians deserve, and that is the standard this administration will maintain.

‎”Wike, you have set the pace in the FCT. Keep working. Keep delivering. Nigerians are watching, and they are pleased. The Abuja Airport Second Runway is back on track and progressing, and now, the host communities are moving forward alongside it—not left behind in its dust”.

‎In his speech, Wike commended the communities for coming out and appreciated them for not making unrealistic demands, urging other communities to learn from them.

‎”I must commend this community as a strong example for others to learn from. They did not make unrealistic demands or attempt to frustrate government efforts. Instead, they made two simple requests: employment for their youths and access roads for their community.

‎”They did not demand huge monetary compensation or place unnecessary conditions. They simply asked for jobs and roads. I thank the people of Tungan Madaki for that responsible approach, which gave government a clear understanding of their needs.

‎” Without them, many would not even have known a community called Tungan Madaki. They requested jobs, and by the grace of God, they were employed. They requested roads, and today, those roads are being delivered” .
