The Muslim community in Kwoi on Wednesday paid a Sallah homage to the Kpop Ham, His Royal Highness Dr. Danladi Jonathan Gyet Maude, OON, at his palace as part of activities marking Eid Kabir.
The visit brought together Muslim leaders and members of the community in a gesture that reaffirmed commitment to peace, unity, and sustained cooperation between religious groups and the traditional institution in Hamland.
Addressing the gathering, the monarch emphasized the importance of sustaining the moral and spiritual lessons of Eid Kabir, noting that the celebration promotes values such as compassion, discipline, and communal responsibility. He expressed hope that these values would continue to guide citizens toward greater unity and sustainable development in Hamland and Kaduna State.
The Kpop Ham also underscored the importance of interfaith dialogue, describing the Eid period as a symbol of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding among diverse religious groups. He cautioned against fear and division, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains essential for meaningful progress in society.
Reflecting on Hamland’s history, he acknowledged the long-standing peaceful relationship between Muslim and Christian communities in the area, adding that continued dialogue and mutual respect are key to sustaining harmony and development.
He further commended Muslim leaders for their contributions to peacebuilding, noting that their efforts have strengthened stability across the region and reinforced confidence in interfaith collaboration.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Kwoi Central Mosque, Mallam Lawal, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the commitment of the Muslim community to peace, unity, and continued cooperation with the traditional institution.
The visit concluded with prayers for peace, development, and stronger bonds among all communities in Hamland.
