    NECO Releases 2025 SSCE Results

    The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), with 60.26 per cent of candidates meeting the benchmark for university admission.

    Announcing the results at NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State on Wednesday, the Registrar, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, revealed that 818,492 candidates secured at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

    A total of 1,144,496 candidates, representing 84.26 per cent, obtained five credits and above irrespective of English and Mathematics.

    Out of 1,367,210 candidates that registered for the examination, 1,358,339 eventually sat, comprising 680,292 males and 678,047 females.

    The data showed a near balance in participation, with male candidates numbering 685,514 at registration and female candidates at 681,696.

    Prof. Wushishi disclosed that the council would release further details on cases of malpractice and withheld results after due investigation.
