    Pascal Dozie, Diamond Bank founder is dead

    Pascal Gabriel Dozie, the founder of the now-defunct Diamond Bank Plc, passed away at the age of 85.

    Dozie died in the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, according to Business Day.

    After battling an age-related ailment, he passed away just one day before turning 86.

    Prior to its merger with Access Bank, Dozie was most known for founding Diamond Bank, one of Nigeria’s most avant-garde financial organizations.

    He presided over the bank as its chairman before transferring control to his son, Uzoma Dozie.

    Among other family members, Dozie is survived by his wife, Chinyere Dozie, and five children.
