    ABU ranked second in Nigeria in THE World University Rankings 2025

    Research quality is the highest ranked pillar of the university

    Ahmadu Bello University has been ranked at 1001-1200 in the World University Rankings 2025 by Times Higher Education (THE).

    The highlights from THE’s World University Rankings released early today (Wednesday, 9th October, 2024) showed the institution’s performance across metrics and the corresponding pillars.

    Equally, the University ranked second in Nigeria while research quality is the highest ranked pillar with the overall score in 30.7 – 34.4 bracket.

    According to Rank Overview, the World University Rankings are generated from five pillars each of which represents a key area of higher education excellence, namely: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.
