    PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU SHOULD ADDRESS THE NATION ON THE CONTROVERSIES SURROUNDING HIS EDUCATION

    Published on

    Following the revelation made by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and also the very recent call by the Presidential Candidate of labour Party Mr Peter Obi, over the educational backgrounds and documents submitted for election by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we are compelled to stand up and warn that the proportions of accusations against the person of the President in office cannot and should not be viewed as a vindictive or a vendetta mission against the person of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the following reasons;

    Firstly, the allegations going round are not questioning President Tinubu’s ambition but admissions into various educational institutions he claimed he attended.

    That the president is now a public figure and the sacred office he occupied demands that he should come out to defend himself, defend the integrity of that office as well as the well being of the Nation in eyes of the world and of strangers.

    Also, most of the allegations had been trailing the person of Bola Ahmed Tinubu since 1999 when he appeared the second time after winning his election in 1992 as a Senator representing Lagos State.

    The circumstances of his education have not shown that he was in those educational institutions and to earn the qualifications he announced and supported by swearing to an oath that he attended in person. There are still more to tell the Citizens and this cannot be done through proxies or by using threats against those running commentaries on the subject of forgery. Forgery as a subject is not taught in any of our Schools and it will not be added as a subject into the school curriculum.

    We therefore beseech President Tinubu to act like a Man and tell the Nation who he is and the schools attended with dates and this demand should be done in utmost honesty. Asking the president to do so is not an act of intimidation.
