The Nigeria Customs Service Seme Area Command has exceeded its revenue target for 2023 under the leadership of Comptroller Dera Nnadi, who has now handed over leadership to Comptroller Timi Bomodi.

Nnadi stated that the command had adopted new strategies to boost trade and enforce anti-smuggling laws along the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor in accordance with ECOWAS protocols.

The revenue collected by the command as of September 15, 2023, amounted to N2.09 billion, surpassing the target by N123.58 million.

Nnadi expressed gratitude to officers, stakeholders, and other government agencies for their support and urged them to continue their efforts under the new leadership.

Bomodi congratulated Nnadi on the command’s achievements and emphasized the need for cooperation among all stakeholders to make the corridor the most viable and excellent in terms of trade facilitation.

He promised an all-inclusive administration and expressed confidence in meeting and exceeding expectations as he takes on the leadership of Tincan Island Port, Nigeria’s second largest port.
