The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has put an end to all Sit-At-Home exercises, including the Monday’s sit-at-home and any future proposed actions aimed at securing his release from government custody.

Kanu’s decision was conveyed through a handwritten letter read by his special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, during a world press conference held in Enugu State on Friday. The declaration came in response to Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed disciple, who had previously failed to announce the cancellation of the Sit-At-Home protests through his media platforms.

In the letter dated July 24, 2023, Nnamdi Kanu warned Ekpa to refrain from calling for any Sit-At-Home actions going forward and urged him to publicly announce that he has received a direct order from Kanu himself to cancel any ongoing Sit-At-Home protests.
