    KSU Kabba Sets up Security Committee to address safety in, around the campus

    The Vice Chancellor, Kogi state University, Kabba, Professor KIT Eniola has inaugurated a Security Committee charged with the responsibility of ensuring continued safety and security of lives and property in and around the campus.

    The committee was inaugurated on the campus of the the newly established university located along Okene road in the ancient town of Kabba.

    The initiative which is at the instance of Professor Eniola among other objectives aims to consolidate on the peaceful living and learning atmosphere enjoyed by members of

    Speaking with journalists in Kabba, the Chief Security Officer of the University, Mr Samuel Olubato noted that the Vice Chancellor had vowed to leave no stone unturned in strengthening the committee towards achieving stated goals.

    “The committe being inaugurated today at the Instance of the Vice chancellor is to complement the effort to consolidate on the peaceful living and learning already existing on the campus”

    He also noted that his men were committed to upholding the mandate of the Vice Chancellor.

    The committee consists of heads of security agencies including the military, the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, Department of State Services DSS.

    Other agencies include the Kogi State Vigilante Services KSVS, and Kabba City Keepers as well as the head of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, FRSC.
