Civil servants who left  the Bauchi State Civil Service since March 2013 are set to receive their long-awaited gratuities, as the state government has approved the clearance of outstanding payments after 13 years.

The Bauchi State Contributory Pension Commission announced that bank cheque distribution to beneficiaries will commence on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00am at its headquarters in Bauchi.

Executive Secretary of the Commission, Alh. Ibrahim Inuwa, confirmed the development while briefing journalists, noting that all arrangements have been finalised to ensure a smooth disbursement process under the state’s contributory pension scheme.

He advised eligible retirees to visit the Commission’s office located near the Bauchi State Pilgrims Welfare Board with required documents for cheque collection.

Inuwa reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to pensioner welfare, adding that the payment drive is part of ongoing efforts to clear outstanding liabilities and restore confidence in retirement administration.

The exercise is expected to offer major relief to affected retirees and further demonstrate the government’s resolve to settle entitlements owed to former workers in Bauchi State.
