Media personality and Arise TV host, Rufai Oseni has dug up an old video of Federal Capital Territory, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike saying he will not be part of those promoting Godfatherism in Nigerian politics.

The video which was captured when Wike was governor of Rivers is currently making the rounds on Social media.

According to the video, Wike could be heard saying “the day I leave as Governor of Rivers State in the name of almighty God, I have no power to choose a successor because the people have the right to decide who leads them”

The FCT Minister is currently in Rivers State touring the 23 Local Government Areas of the state with the move to recapture the political structure from Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

During one of his recent outings, the Minister declared that he may become politically irrelevant if the governor is re-elected.

Apparently referring to Fubara, the Minister vowed that the mistake of 2023 will not be repeated in the coming election.
