Ekiti Election: Osun APC hopes for victory  ahead August 15, poll

    Published on

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, RHA, has said that Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s landslide re-election in Ekiti State, would energise the group ahead of the August 15 Osun State governorship election and strengthen its campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of 2027.
In a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, the group congratulated Oyebanji but said the Ekiti outcome would serve as a springboard for its mobilisation efforts in Osun and beyond.
RHA said while Oyebanji’s victory reflects public confidence in his Shared Prosperity Agenda and its alignment with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the result also creates new momentum for the group.
“The outcome of the Ekiti election would energise the group ahead of the August 15 Osun State governorship election and strengthen its campaign to promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 presidential contest,” the statement read.
The group noted that Oyebanji’s overwhelming mandate places greater responsibility on him to deliver more in his second term.
“The confidence reposed in Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State comes with increased responsibility. The renewed mandate places greater obligations on the governor to build on the successes of his first term and deliver even more impactful results across critical sectors,” RHA said.
It acknowledged progress in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education and youth empowerment during Oyebanji’s first tenure, adding that voters rewarded performance and now expect higher standards.
While celebrating the win, RHA urged Oyebanji to remain inclusive and magnanimous by uniting all political interests for Ekiti’s continued growth.
“Ekiti’s best days are ahead, but this renewed confidence from the electorate must be matched with even greater commitment to governance and service delivery. The people have spoken clearly, and they now expect more from their governor,” the group stated.
RHA commended Ekiti people for a peaceful and transparent election. It also congratulated South-West Zonal Coordinator and NPA Chairman, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, the Ekiti State Coordinator, and the 16 local government coordinators for mobilising support for the APC.
The group praised President Tinubu, saying his administration’s reforms contributed significantly to the political momentum that delivered Oyebanji’s victory.
It also acknowledged the contributions of RHA Director-General, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Deputy Director-General, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna, Secretary, Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, and other APC governors involved in mobilisation.
RHA wished Oyebanji wisdom, strength and success as he prepares for another term.
