‎Actress Mosun Filani has revealed that she took a long break from acting to focus on her family and on raising her children.
‎
‎Speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, Filani also dismissed claims that she is a second wife.
‎
‎According to her, her children are now grown and independent, making it the right time to return to her acting career.
‎
‎“I stopped acting to focus on my family. My kids are grown; they know left from right, and it’s time for me to get back to acting,” she said.

‎The actress also used the opportunity to clear the air about speculation surrounding her marriage, insisting she is not a second wife.
‎
‎“I’m not a second wife; my husband might’ve had a marriage before, but I didn’t meet anyone in his house,” she clarified.
‎
‎Addressing her long-standing speculation about her marriage, Fulani explained that, while her husband may have been previously married, she did not meet any wife in his house when they married.
‎

‎The actress also explained why she took a hiatus from acting at the peak of her career.

‎She said the break was necessary to focus on raising her family, adding that she is now ready to return to the screen now that her children are grown.
