‎A retired police inspector, Danjuma Yusuf, was arrested in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, with a cache of weapons and ammunition meant to supply kidnappers and terrorists.

‎The suspect was caught at a military checkpoint with two locally fabricated pistols, 167 rounds of 9mm ammunition, pepper spray, knives, and his own police identification materials.

‎Investigations reveal that the former inspector, who was dismissed from service, had been moving weapons across state lines under the guise of his former profession, feeding the very criminal networks he once fought against.

‎Military authorities confirmed that the suspect had turned his back on his oath, trading his badge for blood money.

‎“The people he once swore to protect are now his victims. The uniform he disgraced is now his disguise,” a security source said.

‎Efforts to speak with Plateau State Police Command proved abortive as at the time of filing in this report because the phone of the PPRO, Alfred Alabo, was swift off.
