    Published on

The Benue State Police Command has reassured of its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for the Easter celebrations.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, who gave the assurance in a statement on Saturday, ordered the deployment of personnel and operational assets across the state to guarantee security at places of worship, recreational centres, and public spaces.

Emenari in the statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, directed area commanders, divisional police officers, and heads of tactical units, to intensify patrols, conduct visibility policing, and position officers in vulnerable locations.

The CP equally disclosed that the command had activated intelligence-driven policing strategies, enhanced surveillance, and strengthened collaboration with security agencies and community stakeholders.

He encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
He also advised parents and guardians to monitor their wards and discourage acts that may threaten public peace.

Extending warm Easter greetings to the Christian faithful, the CP urged residents to celebrate responsibly.
He further assured that personnel under his command would remain resolute in protecting lives and property, to ensure that the state remains safe for all.
