What Happened Recently Was A Calculated Plan To Get Me Sacked – Bwala

    Published on

Daniel Bwala, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the controversy that followed his recent appearance on Al Jazeera where he was interviewed by Mehdi Hasan.

Speaking in a video shared by Symfoni TV, Bwala said he would rather not go deep into the matter.

He explained that what happened around the interview was not ordinary, but part of a planned effort aimed at removing him from his role as Special Adviser to the president.

He stated that the situation was arranged in a way that could put him in trouble, even though he believes he was only carrying out his duty.

According to him, the attempt was meant to create a reason for him to lose his position.

Bwala also revealed that President Tinubu recently gave him the task of engaging with international media to speak about the government and respond to issues being raised globally.

He said this assignment has taken him to several platforms where he has defended the administration.

He added that since receiving the directive, he has appeared in about 187 interviews across different media outlets.

He maintained that he is fully prepared to represent and defend the government in any part of the world.

He said: “What happened to me recently, I don’t want to talk about it because it was a calculated plan, it was an orchestration to get me sacked. They will sack you for going to take a bullet for your principal? Are you going to be sacked for incompetence?”
