Groups assure of Tinubu’s commitment in addressing S/East needs

    Published on

A coalition of 199 pro-Igbo progressive groups has assured Igbos that the Bola Tinubu administration is firmly dedicated to addressing the needs and aspirations of the South-East.

The groups also unequivocally condemned recent media attacks by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe against Tinubu.

While acknowledging Abaribe’s constitutional right to express his opinions, the groups rejected his assertion that Tinubu is orchestrating a shift toward a one-party system, describing the claim as unfounded.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the National Coordinator, Ndigbo for Tinubu 2027, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and Director of Media and Publicity, Dr. Ugwuoke Ugwuoke, the group said allegations questioning the legitimacy of the 2023 election were false, noting that President Tinubu’s victory was affirmed by INEC and upheld by the Supreme Court.

The statement further cited infrastructural investments valued at N1.5 trillion in the South-East and the appointment of an Igbo Minister of Works as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the region.
