APC remains most formidable party, Uzodinma insists

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the most formidable political party in Nigeria, and is poised to win the 2027 general elections.

Uzodimma, who chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), made the statement during a solidarity visit to the new national chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s successor, Dr Abdullahi Yilwatda, at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

“APC is not just the ruling party; it is the most organised and united party. We are unstoppable in 2027,” he said.

He praised the leadership of Yilwatda, describing him as “tall, handsome, brilliant, and prepared to lead.”

According to Uzodimma, the party’s e-registration drive will help determine its true supporters and guide strategic decisions going forward.

He also took a swipe at opposition parties, saying, “In Nigeria today, we have the APC and others. That tells you where we are.”

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa and other members of the PGF accompanied Uzodimma on the visit.
