Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has directed immediate disbursement of the scholarship allowances to indigenous students in the Nigerian Law Schools across the country.

Commissioner for Tertiary Education Dr Alabi Afees Abolore, who disclosed this in Ilorin, the state capital, during a stakeholders meeting in his office, said the money would be paid directly into the accounts of the beneficiary students for accountability and transparency.

Dr Abolore reiterated the commitment of the AbdulRazaq administration to ensuring that the welfare of the students is prioritised, urging them to be studious and good ambassadors of the state.

The Commissioner, who lauded the giant strides of the state government, said the list generated from the Nigerian Law Schools would be used to ensure that the disbursement is carried out seamlessly.

Dr Abolore assured the students that his Ministry, in collaboration with the State Scholarship Board, would take swift action to ensure immediate commencement of the disbursement of the money.

Meanwhile, the state government has congratulated Omotayo Dada, an indigene of Kwara State, for her brilliant academic performance, culminating in her becoming the overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School, adding that “we are proud of you for showcasing and bringing Kwara state to the limelight in your academic pursuit.”
