    NDE Trains 25 Kogi Youths On Solar Power Installation, Maintenance

    The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has commenced the training of 25 Kogi Youths On Power Installation and Maintenance.

    The Kogi State Coordinator of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Zakari while speaking at the flag off/Orientation ceremony in Lokoja on Tuesday, said that the effort is aimed at making the beneficiaries become self-reliant.

    Zakari said that the 5 days workshop was organised in partnership with the Abuja Graduate School for the participants drawn across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State.

    “This training is the second batch designed for last year and I urge all beneficiaries to see it as rare privilege to put in their best as it will go a long way in enabling them acquire knowledge that will make them succeed in becoming self-employed”

    The Resource Person, Engr. Awusa Samson in his speech, said that the training would also offer the participants the opportunity to be employers of labour and self-bosses so as to contribute their quota towards the improvement of power supply within their immediate society.

    The Head of Special Public Works Department, Toyin Ajibade charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the training to better their lives.

    Responding on behalf of the participants, Mr. Hussaini Sule appreciated the federal government for the opportunity offered them with a promise to take the training seriously.
