WARD 1, NGO ANDONI L.G.A RIVERS STATE
    April 30, 2024

We, the Caretaker Executive Committee Members and leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ngo Town Ward 1, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, issue this press statement in response to the unwarranted suspension of Rep. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, PhD, Member representing Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency and Leader of the party in Andoni LGA.

We condemn the reckless announcement made by individuals claiming to be party officials, namely Dike Bara and Dokubor Jackson, who lack legitimacy within our party structure. Their purported suspension of Rep. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, PhD, is unlawful and should be disregarded by the public.

As the recognized TIC Executive in Ward 1, Ngo, we affirm the following:

    1. Rep. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, PhD, remains a valid member of the Peoples Democratic Party and leader of the party in Andoni Local Government Area. His purported suspension is a ploy by frustrated politicians to undermine his political influence.

    2. Dike Bara and Dokubor Jackson are impostors who hold no membership or official positions within our party. They lack the authority to make any announcements on behalf of the party.

    3. If anyone is to face suspension for impersonation, it is Mr. Dike Bare, Dokubor Jackson, and their sponsors who seek to disrupt the peace of Andoni Local Government Area.

    4. We urge all party members to ignore the actions of these impostors and remain focused on supporting the leadership of Rep. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, PhD, and Governor Amaopusenibo Sir, Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS.

    5. The PDP Ward 1 Ngo Town remains united, and no propaganda can undermine the support for Rep. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, PhD.

    Signed:
    Hon. Owuokagakemi Lawrence
    Chairman, CTC Ward 1

    Comr. Otuokwun JumbO Stephen
    Secretary, CTC Ward 1
