    ACAMB Mourns the Loss of Esteemed Publicity Secretary, Abdul Imoyo

    The Association of Corporate & Marketing Communications Professionals in Banks in Nigeria (ACAMB) is in deep mourning following the passing of its esteemed Publicity Secretary, Mr. Abdul Kolawole Imoyo. Mr. Imoyo, a highly respected corporate media manager and journalist, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at First Cardiology, Ikoyi, Lagos, after a brief illness.

    Mr. Imoyo served as the Head of Media Relations at Access Holdings, where he made significant contributions to the financial group’s communication strategies and public image. ACAMB President, Rasheed Bolarinwa, expressed the association’s profound sadness at the loss, highlighting Mr. Imoyo’s dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence in the field of corporate communications.

    The Imoyo family released a heartfelt statement through Tunde Imoyo, expressing their deep sorrow and informing friends and well-wishers of the passing of their beloved Abdul Kolawole Imoyo. The family requested privacy during this period of mourning and expressed gratitude for the prayers and support they have received.

    Late Imoyo played a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between ACAMB and other industry bodies during his time in the media. His appointment as the Publicity Secretary of the current ACAMB Executive Committee was a testament to his amiable nature and ability to foster strong relationships with critical stakeholders in the industry.

    ACAMB extends its deepest condolences to the Imoyo family and Access Holdings Group during this difficult time. The association recognizes and celebrates Mr. Imoyo’s invaluable service to ACAMB and the corporate sector at large.
