The Police Service Commission (PSC) is set to host the second edition of its annual awards ceremony on Tuesday at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja. The highly anticipated event is expected to attract prominent Nigerians, former Chairmen of the Commission, Directors, and friends of the Commission.
The PSC Awards Ceremony aims to honor and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to efficient and effective policing in Nigeria. The ceremony will feature seven categories of awards, including the PSC Appreciation award, award for leadership and service, prestigious award for philanthropy in the police, stakeholders award, award for gallantry in the Nigeria Police Force, PSC Pioneer staff award, and PSC staff award.
Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Commission, expressed his excitement about the event, stating that it is a celebration of excellence within the police sector. He emphasized the Commission’s commitment to recognizing merit and individuals who have supported both the Commission and the Police in carrying out their duties.
In addition to recognizing outstanding individuals, the awards ceremony also provides an opportunity for Commission staff and stakeholders to relax and express gratitude for the blessings and mercy received throughout 2023.
The inaugural edition of the PSC Annual Awards was held in December last year, 2022, and was met with resounding success. The Commission looks forward to building upon that success and making this year’s ceremony even more memorable
