Arsenal are targeting Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino, 28, and Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, 22, but Barcelona is also keen on both Spanish internationals, according to the Standard. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have expressed interest in Trent Alexander-Arnold, the 25-year-old England right-back, but Liverpool are confident he will sign a new contract this summer, the Sun reports.

Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho, 24, is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Paris St-Germain, but these clubs are unable to meet United’s £40 million asking price, Sky Sports and the Mirror claim. Borussia Dortmund are considering a £25 million bid for 22-year-old Brazilian right-back Yan Couto, who is currently lacking game time at Manchester City, the Mail reports.

Manchester United value 24-year-old Netherlands centre-back Matthijs de Ligt at around 40 million euros, but Bayern Munich wants at least 50 million euros plus add-ons, according to Sky Sports. Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, 25, was reportedly shocked to be left out of the team’s preseason tour in the United States and feels he is being pushed out of the squad, the Guardian reports.

Kieran Trippier, 33, is expected to leave Newcastle United due to interest from two Saudi Arabian teams, reports the Northern Echo. Despite transfer rumors, 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder Joelinton has expressed happiness at Newcastle United and believes his compatriot Bruno Guimaraes, 26, will also stay with the team, the Guardian reports. Brentford striker Ivan Toney, 28, is prepared to play out his contract if he does not secure a significant move this summer, according to Talksport.

Manchester United must sell right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka before they can pursue a move for 26-year-old Moroccan right-back Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, claims the Mirror. Napoli and Denmark midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, 24, is expected to join Everton on a season-long loan with an £18.5 million buyout option, reports Di Gianluca Marzio.

In an effort to replace the departing 22-year-old Riccardo Calafiori, who is expected to join Arsenal, Bologna has approached 35-year-old German defender Mats Hummels, who is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky Sport. Getafe will receive just over £5 million from England striker Mason Greenwood’s £26.7 million transfer to Marseille due to a sell-on clause negotiated during his loan from Manchester United last season, reports the Times.

After being released by Sheffield United this summer, 28-year-old Scottish striker Oli McBurnie is expected to sign with Spanish La Liga team Las Palmas as a free agent, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
