The Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Simon Ortuanya, has been seen at the APC Stakeholders Meeting held in Enugu North Senatorial Zone.
This development is coming on the heels of serious allegations by the camp of Uche Nnaji, who accused the VC of bias and deliberate attempts to tarnish the reputation of the former minister.
Recall that Prof. Ortuanya was alleged to have collaborated with the Enugu State Government to discredit Uche Nnaji by suggesting he did not graduate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Now, with his presence at a ruling party stakeholders’ gathering, the narrative takes a different dimension.
The video evidence, though partial, appears to reinforce the claims by Uche Nnaji’s team that the VC is not neutral, but politically aligned.
It raises a fundamental question about institutional integrity.
Should a sitting Vice Chancellor be visibly involved in partisan political gatherings, especially in a context where he is already accused of taking sides in a politically sensitive matter
