‎Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has revealed that her 30s were the worst years of her life.

‎Reflecting on her past with Big Brother Naija ex-housemate, Tacha, on the latest edition of her podcast, Makinwa said that she does not want to go back to them.

‎She revealed that she spent her 20s with just one man and wished she explored more before he gave her the experiences.

‎She admitted that she was not innocent, adding that she shs glad she did not have a baby in her 30s.

‎“I don’t want to go back to my 30s; they were the worst years of my life. I spent my 20s with just one man, but I wish I had explored more because he gave me the experiences. I wasn’t innocent, and I’m glad I didn’t have a baby in my 30s,”. she said.

‎Still, on the podcast, Makinwa, who advised women against marrying in their 20s, explained that at that age, they do not know themselves.

‎She noted how those who got married at such an age regret it later.

‎“Women have no business getting married in their 20s. You don’t even know yourself yet. Those who did are regretting it now,” she said.

‎A few days ago, the former OAP, on her podcast, said she struggles to understand what women mean when they say they financially support a man.

‎Makinwa said that if she dates a broke guy who earns N5,000, he must give her N3,000 from it, or she would ghost him.

‎Her statement did not sit well with netizens, who heavily criticised her.

‎Addressing the backlash, Makinwa claimed her statement was a joke, clarifying that she had never believed that a person’s bank account should measure love or how much a man can give financially.

‎She said she respects and believes in the beauty of two people who genuinely love each other, work hard, support one another, and build life together.

‎On the MENtality podcast, Makinwa shared her thoughts on transactional relationships, saying she believes they are all transactional.

‎Makinwa also said she believes people should date within their income bracket, arguing that financial differences can create challenges in relationships.

‎Makinwa had advised ladies in relationships to marry the man who calls after an argument to make sure they are okay.

‎Makinwa stressed that one should choose a partner who stays when things get difficult and seeks understanding rather than trying to win every argument.

‎After welcoming her first child at 40, the former OAP shared screenshots of messages she received from trolls, noting that no matter how far a woman rises in her career, society still glorifies things that have not happened to her yet.

‎She noted how marriage is now a yardstick for fulfilment, and admonished her gënder not to underestimate the power of negativity.

‎On her podcast, the former OAP broke down in tears as she reflected on her trials, revealing that she prayed to God to turn 40 as a mum.

‎She added that God answered her prayers as she got pregnant the next month after her 40th birthday.
