    TY Danjuma Urges Military to End Insecurity, Chief of Defence Staff Responds

    Former Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (retd.), has called on active military personnel to swiftly address the ongoing violence and killings across Nigeria. Speaking at the launch of Major General Solomon Udounwa’s book, Big Boots: Lessons from My Military Service, in Abuja on Tuesday, Danjuma emphasized that the military must take immediate action to restore peace in troubled regions.

    Danjuma stated, “The number one problem today is security. We must end the violence and stop the killings happening in our country as soon as possible. Those of you who are still serving have no excuses. None.”

    In response, Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa assured that the military is committed to restoring peace nationwide. Musa acknowledged the challenges but emphasized the military’s readiness to uphold the values of service, integrity, and honor.

    “We are prepared, willing, dedicated, and committed to ensuring we restore peace and security in our country,” Musa said. “We shall not be deterred. We have learned from the distinguished senior officers like you and we will not fail.”
