Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has said he has proved wrong those who underrated him and felt he would not perform as a governor because of his love for dancing.
He reiterated that dancing is his hobby and he has never pretended about it.
Adeleke whose election was affirmed by the Supreme Court on Tuesday said those who underrated him for dancing have themselves become dancers.
“Dancing is my hobby. I don’t pretend, I don’t impress,” he said while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
He said he demonstrated his dancing hobby even while in the Senate and his critics said he could not debate or make any meaningful contributions in the Senate, saying, “but I surprised them. I am now.”
Adeleke said he would have been a musician but said he is happy his nephew, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido is doing well in that space.
He said the people of Osun State should expect more good governance from him.
He said, “A lot of people who have been thinking that I may not be a good governor because I dance, they are now dancing, all of them are now dancing because that is my strength.
“I am not a pretender. I am US trained, I went to school, I don’t pretend and when it comes to my work, you need to see me.
“I am underrated. Now they know they cannot underrate me anymore because I have shown them what I get, I have shown them what I can do for my people, I have shown them good governance and more good things are coming.”
