    Ten Generals Retire from Nigerian Army

    Ten senior officers of the Nigerian Army, all holding the rank of General, have retired from active service after completing their required years of service. The group, affiliated with the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC), comprises six Major-Generals and four Brigadier-Generals.

    The retired officers are:
    – Major-General Nsor Okpa Ojiji
    – Major-General MH Magaji
    – Major-General GB Audu
    – Major-General M Danmadami
    – Major-General JG Mohammed
    – Major-General UI Mohammed
    – Brigadier-General A. Israel
    – Brigadier-General BA Mohammed
    – Brigadier-General D. Abdulsalam
    – Brigadier-General SP Akpan

    Speaking on behalf of the retiring officers, Major-General Nsor Okpa Ojiji expressed satisfaction at completing their service and commended the Nigerian Army leadership for their support. He highlighted challenges within the NAAC, including accommodation and inadequate facilities, while acknowledging recent improvements.

    Major-General Mohammed Ahmed, Commandant of the Armoured Corps, congratulated the retirees, thanked them for their service, and encouraged them to remain available for consultation and advice. He emphasized the Nigerian Army’s ongoing efforts in community service and equipment maintenance.

    The retirees expressed hope that the Ministry of Defence, under Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, would prioritize addressing equipment issues within the army, underscoring the importance of continued support for serving personnel.

    The retirement marks the end of distinguished military careers dedicated to serving Nigeria in various capacities within the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps
