‎Actress Ini Okojie has made an announcement welcoming her baby boy in an emotional birthday post, which she shared on her social media page, where she reflected on her journey into motherhood.

‎Rather than celebrating her birthday with the elaborate photoshoots and themed concepts she is known for, Ini said she chose to share a photograph taken on the day her son was born, describing it as the moment her life changed forever.

‎According to her, this year’s birthday holds a special significance because she is marking it as a mother for the first time.

‎“Every year, my birthday comes with a photoshoot, glam, and a carefully planned concept. This year, none of that felt quite right.

‎“Instead, I’m sharing a photo from the day my son was born. The day my life changed forever.

‎“Because as special as every birthday has been, this one feels different. This year, I celebrate as a mother,” she wrote.

‎The actress described motherhood as the most humbling, challenging and rewarding role she has ever experienced, adding that the past few weeks have been filled with both joy and exhaustion.

‎“There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me, or filled my heart quite like this one. These past weeks have been some of the most beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting, and rewarding of my life,” she said.

‎Ini also spoke about the experience of caring for her newborn son, whom she described as “the cutest boy with the sweetest dimples,” noting that motherhood had revealed strengths she never knew she possessed.

‎She added that the experience had deepened her appreciation for mothers everywhere, admitting that she had underestimated the demands of the newborn phase.

‎“The newborn phase is no joke, and I definitely didn’t fully understand what was waiting for me. But even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything,” she wrote.

‎Expressing gratitude, the actress said she felt honoured that God entrusted her with the responsibility of raising her son.

‎“Today, I celebrate another year of life, but even more than that, I celebrate the privilege of being his mum. Happy birthday to me,” she added.
