Queen Mercy, David hints at marital crisis

    Published on

Big Brother Naija star, Queen Mercy Atang and her husband David Oyekanmi appear to be dropping hints that their marriage is in crisis. The couple, who got married in March 2024, have unfollowed each other on social media.

David also recently posed without his wedding ring, with his followers pointing that out and expressing concern. Also, David has been liking cryptic posts about what is expected of women in a relationship. He has also made other posts talking about healing and picking the right partner.

Queen was the first to unfollow David. In June 2025, she sparked rumours of marital crisis after deleting their wedding pictures and unfollowing her husband on Instagram. However, speaking in a viral video shared on her page, she said she did that to save her marriage. “I was trying to take my marriage off social media because my husband’s handle is out there, with a lot of ladies sliding in his DM to say both positive and negative things. “I just want to protect my marriage and reduce some of the things I put out there”, she stated.
