PSG Ready to Pursue Osimhen as Potential Mbappe Replacement

Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is prepared to make a strong push for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen if they lose Kylian Mbappe this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Napolista, PSG is eyeing Osimhen as a potential replacement for the French star.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly given Mbappe a two-week ultimatum to either sign a new contract or depart the club this summer, as they are unwilling to lose him for free.

With Mbappe having just one year left on his contract and the club unable to trigger the one-year option clause, PSG is determined to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

While PSG had already identified Osimhen as a potential target, they were unable to meet Napoli’s valuation of €150 million. However, should Mbappe be sold, PSG’s financial situation could change.

Osimhen, currently in negotiations with Napoli over a new contract, could become the highest-earning player in the club’s history if an agreement is reached.

Although the 24-year-old is considering extending his stay in Naples, he could still leave this summer if Napoli fails to meet his demands and a suitor is willing to meet his valuation.
