    Police Detain VeryDarkMan in Abuja

    Published on

Martins Otse, a social critic and media influencer known as VeryDarkMan, has been detained by police in Abuja after he responded to their invitation on Wednesday. His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the news, emphasizing that VeryDarkMan has long maintained that “the Nigerian Police are our friends,” despite widespread skepticism about this sentiment.

Adeyanju stated, “Our client, VDM, was detained after honoring the police invitation. He has consistently advocated for viewing the Nigerian Police as our allies, even though many hold a different view.”

In a previous incident, VeryDarkMan apologized to the police for donning a uniform that closely resembled theirs in a video. He advised Nigerians to always seek permission before wearing clothing that might be interpreted as official police attire
