‎The Coalition of Plateau Youths have demanded, former Provost of Federal College of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Technology (FSMLT), Dr Sunday Etukodoh, to immediately hand over to the most senior management staff, as his tenure expired on August 7, 2026

    ‎

‎The group said the New Provost of the Federal College of Medical Laboratory sciences and Technology, Jos will facilitate Smooth Administration and improve healthy development within the College.

    ‎

‎According to the spokesman of the group, Comrade Gujarhar Obed Isaih, it is with utmost concern and aberration, the debacle that is going on at the Federal College of Medical Laboratory sciences and Technology, Jos, that is why we are here today to seek for the intervention of the Federal Government.

    ‎

    ‎Etukodoh’s termination on August 7, 2026.

    ‎

‎The statement accused Etukudoh of reluctantly handing over partially to the Deputy Provost, Dr Obiora Ejinaka.

    ‎

‎He stated that the scenario currently at the College is not funny, the Former Provost failed to handover his office and official vehicle as well as other paraphernalia of offices to enable the Acting provost to carry out his assignment.

    ‎

    ‎

‎Despite his exit, Etukkudoh, on September 22, 2026, returned to his office again with the same titles, and operated in the same capacity as the Provost.

    ‎

‎”The aberration is not only unconstitutional, but it is an affront to the citizens of Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.

    ‎

‎”As youths with conscience, we will not stand aloof and allow such an injustice and act of corruption continue to rear its ugly head.

    ‎

‎”Today, his matter came up before the State and the Federal High courts, as he is facing trials on the alleged financial embezzlements and this is someone who spent more than two decades,as a provost without any tangible projects and progress in the institution.

    ‎

‎”For the institution to grow as the citadel of learning, Etukudoh should steer clear of it and enjoy his retirement.

    ‎

‎”A good dancer, they say, leave the stage when the ovation is still laud.

    ‎

‎”It has also come into our notice that the embattled ex-Provost is forcing students and some of his cronies, under the guise of the end of the year party to welcome him.

    ‎

‎”This is someone that denied students of the institution their rights by disbanding all forms of union government and activities within the College.

    ‎

‎”Our candid advice to him is let him exit honourably without further disgracing not only himself but the staff and the entire College.

    ‎

‎”Let him borrow a leaf from the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) where the administration is going without any hitches.

    ‎

‎”Our demands (are): the Minister of Health and Permanent Secretary should immediately mandate Etukudoh to do the proper handing over to the Provost within two weeks; he should account for all the properties of the institution under his care; if the Acting Provost is not ready and willing to take his right duty and full responsibilities and place, he should immediately step aside, and hand over to the next most senior in the organisation for proper administration; and failure to meet these demands,we will be left with only one option to picket the College until our demands are met,” they said.
