‎National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Baba-Ahmed, has accused President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of taking Northern voters for granted ahead of the 2027 general elections. ‎ ‎Baba-Ahmed alleged that some Tinubu supporters believe financial inducements can sway Northern voters despite widespread grievances against the administration. ‎ ‎In a statement on his verified Facebook page, he challenged the President’s camp to explain how they plan to convince voters in Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina, Borno, Yobe, Kaduna, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi and Nasarawa to back Tinubu’s re-election. ‎ ‎He said the notion that money would make voters overlook their complaints underestimates their political awareness and dignity. ‎ ‎According to him, Northern voters will make their voices heard at the ballot, insisting cash inducements will not erase dissatisfaction with the government. ‎ ‎”If we reject the APC and Tinubu, nobody should attempt to manipulate or overturn the outcome of the election,” he warned, cautioning against rigging. ‎ ‎Baba-Ahmed told Tinubu supporters and the ruling party to prepare for a real contest, declaring opposition forces ready for the polls. ‎ ‎He ended his statement with a prayer for deliverance from what he described as oppression. ‎ ‎His comments come as parties intensify early preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the North remaining the major battleground.
