    Published on

Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Mr Segun Olayiwola, has stated the government’s readiness to partner with all stakeholders to enhance education quality and students’ safety.

Olayiwola stated this when receiving the commandant of the Police Secondary School, Igboora, Mrs Fisayo Ogunlade, on Friday in Ibadan.

A statement issued on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mr Dotun Oyelade, quoted Olayiwola as saying the government will cooperate with all stakeholders in the education sector in the interest of children in the state.

According to the commissioner, all schools and institutions in the state whether owned by the state, FG, military, police or private where predominantly of benefit to indigenes of Oyo State.

He said in the light of that, collaboration was key.

In her remarks, Ogunlade pledged the commitment of the school management to collaborate with the state government in promoting quality education and the academic development of students.

She said the purpose of the visit was to seek greater support for the school due to its location.

Ogunlade said “out of the five Police Secondary Schools in the South-West region, the Igboora school is the second largest, with a student population of over 750 drawn from both civilian and police families.”
