A group of Northern Christians, under the banner of the All Christian Youths in Northern Nigeria (ACYNN), organized a solidarity walk to congratulate President Bola Tinubu for his tribunal victory and his inclusive government approach. They specifically commended President Tinubu for appointing non-Muslims to key positions.

In a letter co-signed by its National President, Dominic Alancha, and other members, the group expressed their appreciation for President Tinubu’s appointments, especially considering concerns about a Muslim-Muslim ticket. They praised the selection of Gen. Christopher Musa, a Christian from Kaduna, as the Chief of Defence Staff, citing his understanding of insecurity issues in the state.

The group lauded Tinubu’s leadership style, emphasizing inclusivity and granting a voice to marginalized Christian minorities in Northern Nigeria, particularly in the Middle Belt. They expressed gratitude for the historic appointments of individuals like Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Gen. Christopher Musa as the 18th Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).

This move by President Tinubu was seen as a significant step towards inclusivity and recognizing the contributions of Northern Christians to the nation.
