Tonto Dikeh, the well-known Nollywood actress, has made a significant political move by defecting from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This transition is set to be officially announced by Dr. Mary Alile, the APC National Women Leader, today at the national secretariat in Abuja. Tonto Dikeh, who previously served as the deputy governorship candidate for the ADC in Rivers State during the 2023 election, has now made the switch to the APC.

In the previous election, she and her running mate, Tonte Ibraye, faced an electoral defeat against Siminialayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is the ruling party in Rivers State.
