    NCS alerts public on fake Facebook page operating under “Customs Authority”

    The Nigeria Customs Service NCS has notified the Nigerians  that some unscrupulous elements have  opened a fake Facebook page operating under the name “Customs Authority” with intention to defraud the unsuspecting members of the public. This was disclosed by the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS NPRO, Deputy Comptroller of Customs DC Abdullahi Maiwada at the weekend.
    According to him, “The Nigerian Customs Service wishes to inform the general public that a fake Facebook page operating under the name “Customs Authority” is impersonating the Service with the aim of mislead and defrauding members of the public. Please be informed that this page is NOT affiliated with the Nigeria Customs Service in any way.”
    “The public is strongly advised to disregard any information, offers, requests, or communications from the fraudulent page and to avoid engaging with it. For accurate information and official updates about the NCS, kindly follow only our verified and authentic communication channels”
    He also advised members of the public to report suspicious pages or online activities falsely claiming to represent the Service.
